Tamarind Chutney  


Tamarind - 200 gms

Sugar - 5 Tbsp or to taste

Roasted cumin powder - 1 tsp

Garam masala powder - 1 tsp

Chilli powder - 1 tsp

Dry ginger powder / soonth - 1 tsp

Preparation Method

Soak tamarind in 2 cups of hot water for about 30 minutes.

Take extract out of it and filter it to remove unwanted impurities.

Mix in sugar and all the other spices and bring to boil for about 5 - 6 minutes until sugar dissolves completely.

Let it cool.

Use as required.
