Pappadam Thoran / Stir Fried Papad  


Pappadam - 15 (fried and broken into small pieces)

Grated coconut - 1/2 cup

Chilli powder - 1 Tbsp

Onion - 2 (finely chopped)

Curry leaves - a few

Oil - 2 tsp

Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

Dry red chillies - 2

Salt - to taste

Preparation Method

Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and sauté dry red chillies and onion till onion turns light golden brown.

Add chilli powder and saute for a minute.

Then add grated coconut.

As pappadam is salty, add only a little salt.

Once the grated coconuts are fried, add crushed pappadams.

Add curry leaves, mix well and serve hot.
